• Man indicted for murder of 10-year-old boy in 1993 Maryland cold case (fox5dc.com) — A long-unsolved Brentwood tragedy has moved forward, as a 61-year-old man has been indicted in connection with the 1993 disappearance and presumed killing of 10-year-old George “Junior” Burdynksi from his Brentwood, Prince George’s County home. Investigators say new information from a now-46-year-old man, who was also abused as a child, linked the suspect to a neighborhood child sex ring, though the man who admitted to the killing is unlikely to face charges because he was 13 and considered a victim.
