📰 News we're reading

• Unresolved: Dundalk apartment fire 'set deliberately' which killed man in 1992 (wmar2news.com) — Baltimore County police are renewing their call for information about a 1992 arson at a Dundalk apartment building on Four Georges Court that led to the death of 66-year-old resident LeGrande Dixon. Investigators say the fire was deliberately set, forced residents to jump from a third-floor balcony, and remains an unsolved homicide, and they're asking anyone with tips to contact detectives.

• Key Bridge, Martin State Airport highlighted in MDOT's draft six-year capital budget (avenuenews.com) — Major transportation investments are headed to the Dundalk area, including Key Bridge reconstruction work on MD 695 and significant upgrades to the Dundalk Marine Terminal's berths, power systems, and flood protection. These projects, part of MDOT's six‑year capital budget, aim to keep port operations resilient while supporting growing truck traffic tied to Tradepoint Atlantic and strengthening the regional economy.

• Residents tell Baltimore County to reject large data centers (wypr.org) — Baltimore County residents, including a Dundalk woman worried a facility could land in her neighborhood, urged the county Planning Board to tightly restrict large data centers because of power, water, noise, and pollution concerns. The board is studying new rules that could ban centers near neighborhoods, require full development review, and possibly charge extra fees for heavy water use, while the County Council moves to extend a moratorium through 2027.
