• Neighbor Helps Maryland Resident Escape After Massive Tree Crushes Fort Washington Home (dailyvoice.com) — A massive tree crashed through a Fort Washington home on Heather Circle Tuesday morning, splitting the house from roof to foundation but miraculously causing no injuries. Fire officials say the resident escaped with help from a neighbor as crews assessed serious structural damage and investigated why the tree suddenly fell. 
• Prince George's park officer who fatally shot man identified (thebanner.com) — A state investigation is underway after a Maryland-National Capital Park Police officer fatally shot 34-year-old Alex Charles near the river in Fort Washington Park last week. Officials have now identified the officer as veteran park police member Anthony Delozier, who is on paid leave while the Attorney General’s office reviews what led to the deadly encounter and prepares to release body-camera footage.
• MS-13 Killers Lured Brentwood Teen To Death With Weed, Mistook Him For Rival: Feds (dailyvoice.com) — Federal prosecutors say MS-13 members accused in several Long Island murders also drove a targeted associate to Fort Washington where he was shot in a wooded area. His remains were only found in 2025, and the suspects now face federal charges that could bring the death penalty if they’re convicted.
