• 15-Year-Old Arrested After 3 Stolen Vehicles Found In Gaithersburg: Police (patch.com) — Gaithersburg residents are being alerted after police recovered three stolen vehicles and arrested a 15-year-old following reports of people looking into cars on Town Crest Drive early Friday. Officers set up a perimeter, detained the teen without incident, and say three other suspects remain at large as the investigation continues.
   

• Maryland Attorney General will not charge officers in fatal Gaithersburg shooting (mymcmedia.org) — Gaithersburg residents are learning that Maryland's Attorney General will not charge the Gaithersburg and Montgomery County officers involved in the fatal July 12 bus-stop shooting of Elliott Powers. Officials say body-camera footage shows officers repeatedly urging Powers to drop his gun before firing, while racial justice advocates and community members in Gaithersburg continue to question police accountability and call for stronger crisis intervention services.
