Maryland Pizzeria Ranked 20th in the U.S. Adds Sunday Dinner Service (mocoshow.com) — Inferno Pizzeria Napoletana on Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg is restoring Sunday dinner hours for the first time in six years, now opening Wednesday through Sunday from 5–9 p.m. Known for often selling out of its acclaimed Neapolitan-style pies, the nationally ranked spot encourages locals to come early, since service still ends when the dough runs out.
   

2. Board of Public Works approves $9.3 million for outdoor facilities and land conservation in Baltimore City and 12 counties (nottinghammd.com) — State leaders just approved funding to build a new playground at the Casey Community Center in Gaithersburg, part of a $9.3 million package for parks and land conservation across Maryland. Gaithersburg residents can also expect nearby upgrades at Fox Chapel Neighborhood Park in Montgomery County, plus new trails, gardens, and recreation projects stretching from Baltimore City to the Eastern Shore.
   

3. Maryland Man Sentenced for Drug Distribution Charges in Connection With Death of Teenage Girl (justice.gov) — A Gaithersburg man has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for distributing fentanyl that led to the death of a 15-year-old girl in Montgomery County. Investigators say he arranged the sale via Instagram and met the teen near her home, with evidence later tying him to the delivery and drug paraphernalia found at his residence.
   

4. Maryland man charged with murder in Rockville bar shooting (wtop.com) — A Gaithersburg man has been charged with first-degree murder after a fatal shooting outside Quincy's Potomac Bar and Grille in Rockville following an argument that began inside the bar. Police say he later fled but was arrested at a Gaithersburg motel and is now being held at a Montgomery County detention center while awaiting a bond hearing.
