Man who killed woman while driving off from Maryland traffic stop sentenced (wjla.com) — A driver who fled a traffic stop in Hyattsville and caused a deadly high-speed crash in Prince George's County has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, with two years suspended and five years' probation. Prosecutors say he was speeding at up to 90 mph when he struck and killed a 33-year-old woman waiting for a bus, leaving behind her husband and two daughters.

Coalition demands Prince George's revoke permit allowing ICE to expand presence in Hyattsville (thebanner.com) — Hyattsville residents and immigrant-rights groups are pressuring Prince George's County to revoke a permit that lets ICE expand its legal offices on Belcrest Road, near the Hyattsville Immigration Court. County leaders say the space is for attorneys only, not detention, but protesters fear expanded enforcement and are vowing to keep attending council meetings until the permit is pulled.
