The grant is part of nearly $1 million in statewide Technical Assistance awards aimed at boosting community revitalization, small business growth, and housing opportunities. 
• Man Charged After Alleged $190 LEGO Theft From Waldorf Target (thebaynet.com) — An Indian Head resident has been charged after Target loss prevention staff in Waldorf reported recovering about $190 in LEGO sets during a July 24 incident. Charles County authorities say the 21-year-old was arrested at the scene, released on recognizance, and is scheduled for a September District Court appearance.
• Summer swimmers look forward to their next endeavors (somdnews.com) — Indian Head swimmers wrapped up a strong summer, with standout youth competitor Edison Wright going undefeated across major Prince-Mont and Charles County meets and helping the Torpedoes earn “most improved” honors. Local teammates capped their season with top finishes at county and league championships, and many are already eyeing upcoming high school swim campaigns across Charles County and Southern Maryland.
