• Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters 2026 – Community Event to Remember and Honor Our Fallen Heroes (smnewsnet.com) — Lexington Park residents can join a nationwide tribute by lighting homes or businesses in red during National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, with red bulbs available at St. Mary’s Lighting in town. The campaign honors fallen firefighters, including local hero Brice Trossbach, and urges residents to contact members of Congress to ensure the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg remains open for 2026 ceremonies.
