Alleged Road Rage, Death Threats And Loose Pills Lead To Lusby Arrest (thebaynet.com) — A Great Mills woman was arrested after deputies say she drove erratically through Lusby, struck another vehicle, blocked traffic on Rousby Hall Road, and allegedly threatened to kill anyone who tried to pass her. Calvert County deputies later reported finding loose pills believed to be prescription narcotics in her pockets. She remains held without bond, with her next court date set for mid-September.

Prosecutors say the woman survived, and the teen pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder. The case underscores serious public safety concerns for residents in and around Lusby.
   

4. Back-To-Back State Champion Patuxent Football Sets Sights On 2026 Season (thebaynet.com) — Patuxent High’s football team in Lusby is gearing up for the 2026 season after capturing back-to-back state titles, with coaches stressing that the focus is on continued growth rather than past trophies. The Panthers return their starting quarterback, a key running back, and most of their defense, while leaning on strong community support. Coaches say the program’s culture and town pride drive their championship expectations.
