ā€¢ Firefighters from Calvert, St. Mary's and Charles County Respond to Working House Fire in Mechanicsville (smnewsnet.com) ā€” Firefighters from St. Maryā€™s, Charles, and Calvert counties spent about three hours battling a house fire Thursday evening on Medleys Lane in Mechanicsville after hydrant issues forced them to lay nearly 1,900 feet of hose and use tanker support. All occupants were accounted for, one person was checked by EMS, no injuries were reported, and the fireā€™s cause remains under investigation.

ā€¢ Rider Airlifted After ATV Crash At Budds Creek Motocross Park (thebaynet.com) ā€” An ATV rider was seriously injured Thursday afternoon at Budds Creek Motocross Park on Budds Creek Road in Mechanicsville and flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to a trauma center. Emergency crews responded after reports the rider was ejected and initially unconscious, setting up a landing zone in the trackā€™s parking lot before transporting the patient for further treatment.
