• Mechanicsville Pair Charged After Child Allegedly Left Unattended (thebaynet.com) — Two Mechanicsville adults are facing misdemeanor charges after authorities say a minor was left unsupervised in their Mechanicsville home for nearly two hours in July. The child reportedly contacted a family member for pickup, and investigators reviewed text messages they say support the timeline. Both adults are scheduled for preliminary court hearings in St. Mary’s County District Court on September 4.
