• Leaving ‘the street life' behind, District 25 candidate hopes to help others who were incarcerated (cnsmaryland.org) — Suitland voters are part of Maryland House District 25, where candidate Joseph Tolbert III is running in the June 23 Democratic primary after turning his life around following past convictions. He’s campaigning on easing reentry for formerly incarcerated residents, expanding job training and fair hiring, and pushing tougher penalties for protective order violations, which could shape policies affecting Suitland families and public safety.
