• Cyberattack Caused Four-Day Network Outage For Town, APS (andovermanews.com) — A recent cyberattack knocked out Andover's town and school network systems for four days, delaying teacher assignment releases and limiting access to some online municipal services. Town Manager Andrew Flanagan says buildings, phones, and public safety operations stayed open while IT staff and outside cybersecurity experts worked to restore systems. Officials are still investigating whether any town or school data was accessed or compromised. 
• Aug. 20 Public Safety Notebook: Possible Hit-And-Run Leaves Utility Pole Split On Chandler Road (andovermanews.com) — Andover's latest public safety radio log details a possible hit-and-run that split a utility pole on Chandler Road, a tree on wires that closed part of Porter Road, and an illegal backyard burn on Sunset Rock Road. It also recounts a German Shepherd safely reunited with its owner and an arrest on an outstanding warrant after a River Road traffic stop.
