Beverly To Host Energy Talk Amid Rising Utility Costs

State Rep. Hannah Bowen will host the Community Conversation on Energy Affordability and Sustainability on Tuesday.

BEVERLY, MA — State Rep. Hannah Bowen (D-Beverly) is hosting a Community Conversation on Energy Affordability and Sustainability next week amid rising energy costs across the region.

The discussion will center around why utility costs are increasing, what is being done about it at the state level, and how the region can transition to clean energy solutions without putting more strain on affordability.

The event is set for Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cove Community Center in Beverly.

The event will begin with presentations from Mass DOER, Mass DPU, and National Grid. Then we will move to smaller group conversations facilitated by energy experts and advocates from the community.

Mass DPU, Mass DOER, and National Grid were requested to have customer assistance agents on hand to answer questions and assist residents.

This is the second event of this kind that Rep. Bowen has hosted since her election last year.
