CCCBSD Awarded $750,000 Cummings Foundation Grant

Beverly nonprofit receives 10-year funding support through Cummings Foundation's annual grant program.

BEVERLY, MA — The Children's Center for Communication/Beverly School for the Deaf (CCCBSD) has been selected as one of 150 nonprofits to receive funding through Cummings Foundation’s annual grant program. Chosen from a record 959 applicants, CCCBSD will receive $750,000 over 10 years in unrestricted funding.

CCCBSD is a Beverly-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of deaf and/or disabled individuals, their families, and communities through person-centered, specialized educational programming in a language-rich, inclusive environment.

“We are incredibly grateful for the trust Cummings Foundation has placed in us and excited about what this partnership will mean for the children and families we serve,” said the CCCBSD Leadership Team.

This year, Cummings Foundation increased its annual grant program from $30 million to $35 million and shifted to fully unrestricted funding, allowing organizations to direct resources where they are needed most.

Since 1986, Cummings Foundation has awarded more than $650 million to Greater Boston nonprofits. This year’s recipients represent a broad range of causes, including education, healthcare, housing, mental health services, workforce development, and youth programming.

Based in Beverly, CCCBSD provides inclusive educational, recreational, and vocational programs that foster independence, community engagement, and meaningful life opportunities for individuals who are deaf and/or disabled with developmental disabilities.
