Boston Human Trafficking Investigations Lead To 2 Arrests

BOSTON, MA — Two men are facing charges including child sex trafficking and statutory rape following separate arrests by the Boston Police Human Trafficking Unit, the Boston Police Department announced.

Ted Petit Frere, 23, of Hyde Park, was arrested at approximately 6:45 p.m. Thursday near 66 West St. following an investigation by the Human Trafficking Unit. Police said Frere was wanted on a warrant issued out of West Roxbury District Court.

The warrant included charges of enticement of a child under 16 for sex, electronic enticement of a child under 18 for sex, statutory rape, posing or exhibiting a child in a sexual act, and trafficking a person under 18 for sexual servitude.

Police also announced the arrest of Sebastien Francois, 27, of Dorchester, who was taken into custody at approximately 7:20 p.m. on July 27 near 23 District Ave. Officers, along with the Human Trafficking Unit, arrested Francois on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court.

Francois was wanted on charges of assault and battery, aggravated statutory rape of a child, selling or delivering alcohol to a person under 21, posing or exhibiting a child in a sexual act, trafficking a person under 18 for sexual services, enticing a child under 16, and electronic enticement of a child for human trafficking.

Police said the Human Trafficking Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the cases. Anyone with information is asked to contact the unit at 617-343-6533.
