Loaded Gun And Crack Cocaine Recovered In Downtown Boston Arrest (patch.com) — Boston readers learn that police stopped a Roxbury man near 100 Arch Street and say they recovered a loaded Glock handgun, crack cocaine, synthetic marijuana, and cash after a chase and struggle. The man, known to officers for a suspended license, now faces a long list of firearm and drug charges in Boston Municipal Court.
   

2. Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Recording Children At Boston Park (patch.com) — Families who visit Boston's Frog Pond may be alarmed by police allegations that a Brockton man secretly recorded children there using camera-equipped sunglasses and a cellphone. After witnesses intervened, Boston police obtained a warrant, arrested him in Brockton, and say he will be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on a child-photography charge.
   

3. Downtown Boston immersive art museum announces closure (boston.com) — Downtown Boston's WNDR Museum in Downtown Crossing will close its 500 Washington St. location on Aug. 30, giving residents just days left to visit its interactive, tech-driven art exhibits. The immersive space, praised nationally and featuring works by local artists, invites Bostonians to stop by for a final visit before the company shutters both its Boston and Chicago sites.
   

4. AvalonBay, Equity Residential Selling Boston Towers As Part Of Merger Settlement (bisnow.com) — Massachusetts' attorney general has forced newly merged landlord Vivmark Residential to sell two large apartment towers at 1 and 10 Emerson Place in downtown Boston to preserve competition for renters. The settlement, tied to AvalonBay and Equity Residential's megamerger, also restricts rent‑setting coordination and includes a $500,000 affordable housing contribution benefiting the region.
   

5. Boston Police Blotter: Loaded firearm recovered in Dorchester (bostonherald.com) — Boston police report a third gun arrest tied to the weekend's Dominican Festival, after officers say they recovered a loaded handgun from a 20-year-old Dorchester resident late Sunday night. The blotter also lists 231 incidents citywide in 24 hours, including robberies, assaults, burglaries, and several warrant arrests involving residents from Dorchester, Roxbury, and nearby communities.
