School leaders in Dorchester say the reported behavior violates their Jesuit, Catholic mission and promise appropriate discipline, while publicly affirming that racism will not be tolerated in the Boston school community.
   

2. Teen Arrested On Gun Charges After Shots Fired In Boston (patch.com) — Boston police say a 15-year-old was arrested in Roxbury on multiple firearm charges tied to a Sept. 10 shots-fired call on Dudley Street, where no injuries were reported. Officers and state troopers later searched a Powellton Road address, recovering a handgun with a round chambered and a large-capacity magazine, underscoring ongoing gun violence concerns in Boston neighborhoods.
   

3. Hit-and-run crash leaves wall of Boston bridge damaged (nbcboston.com) — A hit-and-run crash damaged the River Street Bridge between Boston and Cambridge on Tuesday, knocking a six-foot section of wall into the Charles River. No one was hurt, and State Police say the bridge remains safe for drivers after a temporary barrier was installed, but they're still investigating what happened and searching for the other vehicle involved.
   

4. BU receives highest-ever U.S. News ranking, named 34th best national university (dailyfreepress.com) — Boston University, right in the heart of Boston, has earned its highest-ever U.S. News & World Report ranking, climbing to 34th among national universities. Students and faculty say the jump reflects BU's academic strength, diversity efforts, and growing reputation, which could boost the value of a BU degree for local graduates and applicants across the city.
   

5. U.S. Marshals Locate Missing Maine Children Found in Boston After Interstate Search (themainewire.com) — Two missing children from Auburn, Maine were safely located in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood after a coordinated search by local police, U.S. Marshals, and Boston officers. Authorities haven't shared how long they were missing or how they reached the city, but they credit strong interstate partnerships and rapid information sharing for the quick recovery.
