Brookline Gun Owners Face Registration Deadline: Report
A new state law expands which firearms must be registered.
BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline gun owners have until Wednesday, Oct. 28, to register certain firearms through Massachusetts’ online system or risk penalties ranging from a $1,000 fine to prison time, according to The Brookline Record.
Registration is handled through the state’s MIRCS Unified Gun Portal, which requires a MyMassGov account.
Some firearms are exempt from re-registration. Firearms without serial numbers may require additional steps. Read more at The Brookline Record.
