• Framingham approves nearly $384K in CDBG funds. How it will be spent (metrowestdailynews.com) — Framingham officials have approved nearly $384,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant funding to support housing, economic development, and key services across the city. Local groups will receive money for youth jobs, food assistance, ESL classes, senior programs, downtown business support, shelter repairs, and improvements to the Framingham Public Library archive and Callahan Center. These investments are aimed at directly improving daily life for residents.
   

• Man admits to killing 33-year-old woman in Framingham 'by mistake' - Boston News, Weather, Sports (whdh.com) — A 43-year-old man is being held without bail after telling authorities he killed a woman in Framingham and then appearing in Framingham District Court on an assault and battery charge. Police say they found the 33-year-old victim dead in a Waverly Street home after a reported assault. A dangerousness hearing is scheduled for next week as the investigation continues.
