ā¢ Firefighters receive funding for essential equipment (itemlive.com) ā Nahantās fire department is set to receive $12,499 in state grant funding to replace aging gear and improve safety equipment, addressing concerns about PFAS-linked cancer risks and staffing strains. Fire Chief Austin Antrim recently warned that much of Nahantās current gear will soon hit its 10-year limit, and the town must now weigh newer, PFAS-free options that may not last as long.
