Coach Matt Cerullo stressed how far the Scarlet Knights have come since last year's 0-4 start, noting their 3-1 record and resilience even in a tough home loss.

• Shirat Hayam to host Israeli symphony trio Oct. 13 (jewishjournal.org) — A North Andover-based group, Ahavat Olam, is helping sponsor an Oct. 13 concert in Swampscott featuring a trio from the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, focused on remembrance and support for Israel. North Andover residents can attend with a minimum $36 donation, with higher-level donors invited to a private reception, but advance registration is required for security.
