• Massachusetts court blocks Quincy from displaying Catholic saint statues for first responders (amedpost.com) — Quincy's plan to install two large Catholic saint statues outside the new public safety headquarters has been blocked, at least for now, by Massachusetts' highest court over concerns about religious neutrality. City officials, backed by a religious liberty group, say they'll keep fighting to honor local police and firefighters this way, while civil-liberties groups argue the statues would improperly promote one faith with taxpayer support.
