• Dave's Hot Chicken Is Planting Roots In Seekonk (patch.com) — Chicken fans in Seekonk now have a new dining option with the opening of Dave's Hot Chicken at 1200 Fall River Ave, offering Nashville-style hot chicken, sandwiches, and wings. The restaurant expands the growing chain's Massachusetts presence and will be open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight, giving locals a late-night spot for spicy comfort food.

• Former bank employee sentenced for stealing money from elderly man's account (turnto10.com) — A former Santander bank employee who worked at the Seekonk branch has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison for stealing $126,000 from an elderly customer's account. Investigators say he abused his access in 2023 to change account credentials, order cards and checks to his home, and move money to personal and overseas accounts. He must repay the full amount.
