• Seekonk Fire Department Sets Date for 2026 Open House (patch.com) — Seekonk residents are invited to the Fire Department's 2026 open house on October 4 at the Public Safety Campus, where families can explore fire trucks, meet firefighters, and learn fire safety. Kids can enjoy an obstacle course, Sparky bounce house, and giveaways, while adults benefit from car seat safety checks and practical tips to keep their homes and community safer.
   

• Three new Wingstop locations coming to the South Coast (fallriverreporter.com) — Wingstop is expanding on the South Coast, adding new locations in Dartmouth, New Bedford, and Somerset, while already operating in nearby Seekonk. Although opening dates aren't set yet, the growth of this popular chicken wing chain means more dining options within a short drive for Seekonk residents who already have a local store in town.
