• Rat****** Music Fest Brings DIY To Somerville (iheart.com) — A DIY music festival called Rat****** Music Fest recently brought more than a dozen local bands to a parking lot by the Washington Street Art Center in Somerville. Organizers emphasized neighborhood solidarity and made the event NOTAFLOF, allowing attendees to earn discounted admission through community contributions. The grassroots Yardwork Productions collective continues building an inclusive, creative scene in the city.

• Mitchel Iviquel, 42: Army Veteran Disappears In 2020 Or 2021 (ourblackgirls.com) — A missing-person case with ties to Somerville involves Army veteran Mitchel Iviquel, who was last seen after visiting family in the city in March 2020. Authorities say she was later staying in Cambridge's Central Square area and may have been traveling with a deaf man and his daughter. Police are still investigating and urge anyone with information to contact Cambridge Police.
