SUDBURY, MA — Mosquito spraying is planned in part of Sudbury next week as crews continue seasonal control work in the region.
The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project said truck-mounted aerosol spraying is scheduled for Thursday, July 2, in areas near Country Village Lane, Austin Road, Barton Drive, Oakwood Avenue, Reeves Street, Pratt’s Mill Road, and Evergreen Road. Spraying will take place between sunset and 11:30 p.m., according to the project.
The listed streets are general area descriptions, and spray routes may include additional roads, according to the notice.

The project said it will use Zenivex E4, an EPA reduced-risk pesticide, at 1 ounce per acre. The agency said the product does not pose a significant risk to people or pets because of its low toxicity and the small amount used for mosquito control.
Residents are advised to minimize exposure by going indoors for a few minutes if they see a spray truck approaching and closing windows, according to the project. Beekeepers do not need to take special precautions because spraying begins after dusk, officials said.
