• BMS says goodbye to 265 New Jersey staff as reorg rolls on (pharmalive.com) — A major round of biopharma layoffs includes Waltham-based TScan Therapeutics, which is cutting 96 jobs on November 2 as it refocuses on in vivo solid tumor programs and eliminates internal manufacturing. The broader industry cost-cutting wave is also hitting workers at Bristol Myers Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, GSK, Novartis and others, underscoring ongoing instability for life-sciences employees across New Jersey, Massachusetts and beyond.
   

• New HQ designed to encourage connection, Global Partners says (facilitiesdive.com) — Global Partners has shifted its corporate headquarters from Waltham to a much larger, amenity-filled space in nearby Newton, just off I-95 and the Mass Pike. The new office is 75% bigger than the former Waltham site and features extensive collaboration areas, a fitness center, and on-site parking, signaling continued growth for a major employer in the region.
