Lucky Worcester Shopper Wins $200K On Scratch Ticket

WORCESTER, MA — One lucky lottery player in the Bay State won a major prize this week.

A winning $200,000 ticket was purchased at Summit Mobil in Worcester on Monday. The prize was won from the Massachusetts State Lottery's "$15,000,000 Magnificent Millions" game.

To win, a player must match any of their numbers to any winning number. The odds of winning a prize that large are one in 168,000, according to the state lottery.

The state lottery commission did not share who won the prize, but retailers that sell a winning ticket typically receive a bonus from the Lottery.

Meanwhile, another major prize was sold in Worcester last week. A winning $150,000 ticket was purchased at a Shaw's location in Worcester last Wednesday. The prize was won from the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Powerball" game.

The Massachusetts State Lottery publishes a daily list of winning tickets sold statewide on its website. You can find it here.
