WORCESTER, MA — A man headed to a Worcester hospital by ambulance ran into Lake Quinsigamond after the vehicle arrived in the city, prompting a response from police and firefighters.
The man, who was being taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center from Spencer, got out of the ambulance and ran into the lake, according to the Worcester Police Department. Worcester police and the Worcester Fire Department responded from there and helped remove him from the water.
He was taken out of the lake and was being transported back to the hospital, police said.
