Worcester Courthouse Abruptly Closed After Sprinkler Incident

WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester Court Complex closed early Tuesday after a sprinkler system activation prompted officials to shut down the building for the remainder of the day, according to the Massachusetts Trial Court.
The unexpected incident led to the immediate closure of the courthouse at 225 Main St. Officials shared the news shortly before 2 p.m.
Authorities did not specify what triggered the sprinkler activation, and there were no immediate reports of injuries.
