• Survivor of 1993 rape waits for judge's ruling on whether her attacker should be released (wxyz.com) — A 1993 rape survivor from the Brighton area is still waiting to learn whether the man convicted of attacking her will be released from prison, after a Livingston County judge heard arguments Thursday. Prosecutors argue the 67-year-old remains a danger, while his attorney cites decades of good behavior and prior parole approvals as reasons he should go free.
   

• MI Reps. Bollin, Woolford to Serve on Select Committee to Examine Americans for Citizen Voting Petition (whmi.com) — Brighton Township's state Rep. Ann Bollin will help lead a new Michigan House select committee reviewing why the Americans for Citizen Voting petition never reached the statewide ballot. She and Rep. Jason Woolford say they want to examine how more than 700,000 signatures were evaluated and whether the process was fair and transparent for voters.
