Chelsea City Council votes 5-2 to accept resignation of Elle Cole (wemu.org) — Chelsea's City Council has formally accepted the resignation of City Manager Elle Cole in a 5–2 vote, ending months of tension after an earlier move to terminate her for cause. Chelsea schools address safety concerns over alleged sex offender parent's presence at student pickup (mlive.com) — Chelsea parents are pressing school and city officials after learning a registered sex offender parent is legally allowed on local school grounds during drop-off and pickup, prompting safety concerns at Pierce Lake and North Creek. Joseph Wesolowski Jr. (thesuntimesnews.com) — Longtime Chelsea resident Joseph Wesolowski Jr., a retired Ann Arbor police officer and active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Chelsea Community Fair Board, has passed away at 74. Visitation is set for Sept. 20 at Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home and Sept. 21 at St. Mary, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass and burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chelsea.
