• Chelsea Addresses City Manager's Sudden Departure (thesuntimesnews.com) — Chelsea's City Council recently voted to terminate City Manager Elle Cole, and the city has now released a statement explaining that legal and personnel confidentiality limits what can be shared. Officials say they followed established procedures, consulted experts, and will review internal controls and the city manager role while focusing on stability for staff and services. Residents are assured more information will come when legally possible. 
• Lyndon Twp: June Board Meeting Synopses (thesuntimesnews.com) — Lyndon Township, based at a Chelsea mailing address, has approved its 2026-27 budget, salaries for elected officials, and new broadband maintenance worker job description during a series of June meetings. Board members also set millage rates, adopted a general appropriations resolution, and scheduled future board and commission meetings. Residents can see how local tax dollars and leadership roles are being structured for the coming fiscal year.
