The district's six schools sit within a statewide system seeing broader enrollment declines, even as Michigan boosts per-pupil funding and maintains free school meals and expanded pre-K and community college access. 
• Voters in Washtenaw County cities, townships to decide ballot proposals Nov. 3 (mlive.com) — Dexter voters will help decide whether Monument Park in the heart of downtown is permanently protected as public parkland, locking in its role as a year-round gathering space. You'll also see countywide proposals on fire services, roads, sidewalks, and taxes affecting nearby communities like Ann Arbor, Saline, Ypsilanti, Milan, and several townships on your November 3 ballot.
