Oak Park police said they are increasing their presence around places of worship, schools, parks, and other community gathering spaces for now.

"Acts of violence, vandalism, or intimidation of any kind—including those targeting any group, religion, or race—will not be tolerated," officials said. "The City of Oak Park remains committed to ensuring that all members of our community feel safe, welcome, and secure."

The incident comes after two teens were arrested this week after spray-painting antisemitic graffiti and swastikas on residential fences and other areas in Sterling Heights, according to police.
