'Hulk Juice' marijuana drinks recalled along with 8 other flavors (mlive.com) — Kalamazoo-based Season 3, LLC is recalling certain Nuggz Nectar marijuana drinks, including Hulk Juice, after testing showed THC levels may exceed state limits and labels list inaccurate serving counts. Products were sold in Kalamazoo and other Michigan cities, and consumers are urged to check the state recall bulletin, then return or safely dispose of any affected drinks. 
2. Boil water advisory issued amid main break repair in northeast Kalamazoo (wwmt.com) — If you live near Michael Avenue in northeast Kalamazoo, a precautionary boil water advisory is in effect after a water main break caused a temporary pressure loss. The advisory covers parts of Michael Avenue and Mount Olivet Road, and could last until Thursday while testing continues, so residents should use bottled water or boil tap water for drinking and cooking.
3. Neighbors worry after woman shot dead in Kalamazoo (woodtv.com) — Police in Kalamazoo are investigating a weekend shooting that killed 30-year-old Angel Marie Curtis, after officers heard gunfire near Florence Street and Cobb Avenue and later learned she arrived at the hospital with fatal wounds. Neighbors say they're increasingly afraid in the area and some are considering moving, while investigators ask anyone with information to contact KDPS or Silent Observer.
4. Kalamazoo County childcare millage to bring $6 million in funding starting in January 2027 (fox17online.com) — Kalamazoo County is getting ready to distribute about $6 million a year in new childcare millage funding starting in January, aiming to ease costs for families and raise wages for local childcare workers. County leaders are hiring a millage manager and forming a community task force to guide how the money is spent, with Kalamazoo centers like Evergreen Childhood Development Center expecting major impacts.
5. 'No answers': Encampment leaves Kalamazoo resident concerned (woodtv.com) — A longtime southside Kalamazoo resident says a recurring homeless encampment behind Leona Avenue has left the woods along Portage Creek littered with trash, needles and debris, raising safety and environmental worries. The city has opened a nuisance case against the privately owned lot and plans a reinspection next week, while the owner has told inspectors they intend to move forward with cleanup.
