• Fireball meteor spotted in night sky in 2 places in Michigan (detroitnews.com) — Residents in and around Macomb Township may have caught a brief but bright fireball streaking across the sky Sunday night at 8:47 p.m., lasting just under five seconds. Weather watchers and NASA experts explain that such fireballs are spectacular yet fairly common, even though only a handful of meteorites have ever been confirmed in Michigan.
