• Dominant starts shape latest Ann Arbor-area football power rankings (mlive.com) — Saline's football team is dominating the Ann Arbor-area rankings, sitting at 4-0 after outscoring opponents by nearly 45 points per game. The Hornets are firmly in the No. 1 spot and look poised for another strong postseason push as the season reaches its midpoint.
• Local Students Gather for See You at the Pole (thesuntimesnews.com) — Students at Saline High School joined classmates from Milan before dawn on Sept. 23 for "See You at the Pole," a student-led prayer gathering around their school's flagpole. Organized locally by Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the annual event welcomed participants of any or no religion who wanted a quiet moment of reflection before classes began.
