(attackofthefanboy.com) — Parents in St. Clair Shores are challenging Lakeview High School over a gym syllabus that asked for detailed information about girls' menstrual cycles to make up missed swim classes. Several families say the requirement is invasive and could unfairly affect grades and future opportunities, while an attorney presses district leaders on how they handled the complaint and whether the policy will change.
   

• Mammogram screens, health fairs to be held next month in St. Clair Shores, Warren (macombdaily.com) — Free mammogram screenings and health fairs are coming to St. Clair Shores on Oct. 6, offering local women no-cost access to mobile mammography and wellness services at the Southeast Family Resource Center on Harper Avenue. Residents 40 and older can register for a mammogram, get blood pressure checks, flu shots, and information on financial and health resources, regardless of insurance status.
   

• St. Clair Shores hits pause button on Flock license plate readers (macombdaily.com) — St. Clair Shores has temporarily shut off its Flock license plate reader cameras until at least March 2027 while city leaders review privacy, data-sharing, and oversight concerns. After hearing residents and a presentation from the police chief, council members voted to pause the controversial system but must keep paying on the existing contract until a final decision is made.
