EMU Archives receives $30k for music preservation project (easternecho.com) — Eastern Michigan University's Archives is investing a new $30,000 grant into preserving the River Street Anthology, a project born when Ypsilanti music venues began closing. The team will hire students to organize hundreds of recordings and photos of Michigan musicians, with the goal of eventually making this Ypsilanti-rooted musical history freely accessible online.
   

2. U.S. Rep. Dingell says they should still be in Washington working (wemu.org) — Ypsilanti-area residents are being represented at home this week as Rep. Debbie Dingell, sent back from Washington during a congressional hiatus, continues working on issues like AI regulation, gas prices, and a data center bill. She recently spoke at an Ypsilanti Township town hall and says she'd prefer to be in session but will keep long hours locally instead.
   

3. Here's a look at Michigan's most dangerous intersections in 2025, data shows (cbsnews.com) — Drivers in Ypsilanti should know that the North Hamilton Street and Washtenaw Avenue intersection ranked among Michigan's most crash‑prone spots in 2025, with 85 crashes and eight injuries. The statewide list, based on police crash reports, highlights several Southeast Michigan intersections where motorists are urged to use extra caution.
   

4. Volleyball: Ohio closes out Bobcat Invitational sweep with win over Mercyhurst (thepostathens.com) — Ypsilanti volleyball fans will soon see Ohio University visit Eastern Michigan after the Bobcats wrapped up the Bobcat Invitational with a four‑set win over Mercyhurst. Ohio's strong blocking and balanced offense fueled the victory and extended their winning streak, giving them momentum as they head into MAC play on Eastern's home court.
