• Dakota County elections: Here's who's on the ballot in November (twincities.com) — Eagan voters will choose between Mayor Mike Maguire and Council Member Mike Supina for mayor this November, while two council seats pit incumbents Paul Bakken and Gary Hansen against challengers Scott Armitage and Jason Narverud. Residents in the West St. Paul–Mendota Heights–Eagan school district will also help decide three ISD 197 school board seats, alongside a full slate of Dakota County and neighboring city races.
   

• Eagan Man Arrested After Alleged Threats and Racial Slurs Against Neighbor (limitless-news.com) — An Eagan resident has been arrested following multiple harassment charges tied to an August 8 incident on Blackhawk Lake Curve, where police say neighbors reported threats and repeated racist, anti-immigrant remarks. Prosecutors cite three earlier 2026 complaints involving the same neighbor and are seeking significant conditional bail, including no-contact and firearm restrictions, while emphasizing that the defendant remains presumed innocent.
   

• The Aftermath of the Minnesota Vikings' Roster Cuts (vikingsterritory.com) — With training camp at their Eagan practice facility in the rearview, the Vikings have finalized a 53-man roster that includes four quarterbacks and a surprise new punter, Brett Thorson. Depth at edge rusher is now a concern after Tyler Batty's season-ending ACL tear, while several familiar names at running back and receiver survived cutdown day heading into the 2026 season.
