• Local Folks Win at the Minnesota State Fair (weststpaulreader.com) — Inver Grove Heights residents of all ages racked up an impressive list of Minnesota State Fair ribbons this year, from Twin Lakes and Simley students to master crafters and gardeners. Local kids shined in art, robotics, and photography, while adults brought home top honors in quilting, knitting, honey, baking, and more. It's a big year for Inver Grove Heights talent on the state stage. 
• Fairview EMS transition approved for Newport, St. Paul Park (cottagegrovejournal.news) — Inver Grove Heights remains within Fairview EMS's ambulance service area as Newport and St. Paul Park officially join the same system, following state approval on September 1. Fairview reports average emergency response times under eight minutes across its territory, with ambulances staged near call hotspots. Residents can also meet Fairview crews and see vehicles at Newport's Sept. 20 Booya event.
