• Maple Grove to celebrate Oktoberfest this weekend (hometownsource.com) — Maple Grove is hosting a free, family-friendly Oktoberfest this Saturday, Sept. 26, from noon to 5 p.m. at Central Park on Central Park Way. You'll find live polka music, OMNI Brewing drinks, food trucks, kids' activities, games, and photo ops, plus dozens of local craft and food vendors to explore.
   

• Osseo revokes Red's Savoy liquor license at request of the state (hometownsource.com) — Osseo's latest council meeting could affect Maple Grove-area water users, as Osseo relies on Maple Grove's system and is planning a utility rate study while Maple Grove considers costly water softening upgrades. The council also revoked Red's Savoy Pizza's beer license at the state's request and advanced signage for a new dispensary and other staffing changes.
   

• State Patrol: Unbuckled Driver Killed in Brooklyn Center Crash (ccxmedia.org) — A fatal single-vehicle rollover Saturday night on I-94/694 in Brooklyn Center killed a 49-year-old St. Michael man who was not wearing a seat belt. North Memorial Ambulance and Maple Grove Police assisted State Patrol at the scene, underscoring how serious crashes just outside Maple Grove can quickly draw on local emergency resources and affect regional traffic.
