25 Charged In Gang-Related Drug Trafficking Operations Across Minneapolis: Feds

Agents and officers, including multiple SWAT teams, executed several warrants Tuesday, resulting in 12 arrests, authorities said.

MINNEAPOLIS — Federal authorities on Tuesday announced charges against 25 members and associates of two prolific Minnesota-based drug trafficking organizations for a long and sweeping list of drug, gun and violence-related offenses.

Agents and officers, including multiple SWAT teams, executed several warrants Tuesday morning, resulting in the arrest of 12 defendants, authorities said.

“Over a span of five months, the individuals indicted today attempted to traffic no less than 333,000 deadly doses of fentanyl into our Minneapolis communities,” U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Omaha Field Division Special Agent in Charge Dustin Gillespie said in a news release.

Some of the defendants were members or associates of the Family Mob gang, which is based in south Minneapolis and originated in the late 1990s to early 2000s, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

The Family Mob conspired to distribute fentanyl, crack cocaine, methamphetamine and other drugs, authorities said. In the past year, the area in the Family Mob’s territory has seen an increased prevalence of open-air drug trafficking, weapons violations, shootings and homicides, according to the department.

Members of the fentanyl trafficking conspiracy maintained an open‑air drug market near Lake Street and Park Avenue, authorities said, and enforced their territory with violence, including a murder in September 2025.

The following people are charged, according to the department:

  • Kiron Jamoll Williams, 44, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl;
  • Silk Lamond Davis, 48, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl;
  • Lakendrick Darnell Gilliam, 38, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, distribution of fentanyl, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime;
  • Rashshon Jamahl Taggett, 45, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and distribution of fentanyl;
  • Trevon Harris, 28, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and murder during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime;
  • Maricus Antonio Leroy Moore, 45, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl;
  • Larnell Douglas Wren, 51, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl;
  • Emmett Duane Williams, 45, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl;
  • Garyegus Lealexandra Cooper, 47, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl;
  • Deangelo Martez Davenport, 50, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and murder during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime;
  • Mortez Crumble, 34, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime;
  • Eddie Dersaill Brown, 34, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl;
  • Richard Payton III, 52, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl.

Others were members of the Amani Hudson drug trafficking organization, some of whom were associated with the G Block and Bogus Boys gangs, authorities said. The organization based its operations near East 19th Street and Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis, according to the department, and distributed large amounts of fentanyl and cocaine throughout south Minneapolis and across the Twin Cities.

The following people are charged, authorities said:

  • Amani Xavier Hudson Sr., 35, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances;
  • Kelley Christine Hudson, 24, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances;
  • Jerry Wayne Jones, 70, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances;
  • Fronta Lontrell Miller, 50, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances;
  • Tanell Kinte Prempeh, 32, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances;
  • Ryan Andrew Boston, 41, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances;
  • Hezekiah Micah Fields, 26, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances;
  • Tawaun Lewis Sr., 46, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances;
  • Darquel Markease Rockymore, 35, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances;
  • Malcolm Dashuan Peoples, 33, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances;
  • Daren Leemont Rutledge, 53, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.
