Minnetonka Public Schools ranks seventh statewide with an average salary of $92,249, while the statewide average is $77,655 and Wayzata tops the list. 
• Marilyn Allmon (swiftcountymonitor.com) — Minnetonka readers may recognize the Appell family name in this obituary for Marilyn Allmon, whose sister Debra lives in Minnetonka. Marilyn, remembered for her gentle nature, love of animals, and devotion to family, died in Benson at 76, with a celebration of life to be held later.
