• 'A vital role for creators seeking genuine connection' (nujournal.com) — Oakdale painter Yulia Sholomova just took first place at the 18th Annual ArtScape Juried Art Show in New Ulm for her richly layered acrylic piece "A Mythology of The Northwoods." Her work, inspired by Minnesota landscapes and Slavic folklore, is among 81 selected pieces on display at The Grand Center for Arts and Culture through Oct. 16, with a public-voted People's Choice award still up for grabs.
