• Countdown to Time Capsule reveal (panolian.com) — Batesville is gearing up to open its 50-year Bicentennial time capsule during a big July 1 celebration on the downtown Square, where Mayor Hal Ferrell plans a spark-filled padlock removal. Residents are invited to suggest items and reflections for a new 2076 capsule and join the patriotic festivities, with local favorite Flint’s Hardware already leading the way in displaying America 250 banners.
