Other funded projects include utility repairs, road and bridge work, and emergency protective measures across the state, with FEMA covering at least 75% of eligible recovery expenses.

• Law enforcement undergo training in 'stop and approach' practices (tallahatchienews.ms) — Glendora police officers recently joined colleagues from nearby Tallahatchie County departments for an eight-hour “Stop and Approach” training focused on safer traffic stops. Held May 28 at the West Tallahatchie School District Central Office, the course emphasized situational awareness, safe vehicle approaches, and officer survival skills during roadside encounters.
