• Thacker receives national arts grant (oxfordeagle.com) — An Oxford-based nonprofit behind Thacker Mountain Radio Hour has landed a 2026 South Arts Literary Arts Grant, the only Mississippi recipient this year. Their weekly shows, often recorded at Oxford’s Powerhouse Arts Center, spotlight Southern writers and musicians and are broadcast locally on WUMS and public radio stations across several states.
