Her nearly 40-year MSU career spans teaching, research on lightweight composite structures, and mentoring women in aerospace, further cementing the universityās impact from right here in Starkville.

ā¢ 2026 Mississippi Pinnacle Award Winners Announced at April 14 Gala (hubcityspokes.com) ā Starkville gets a shout-out on the statewide stage, with the Starkville Derby tying for the Bernice Linton Outstanding Event Award at the 2026 Mississippi Pinnacle Awards. The Hattiesburg gala honored 40 finalists and also raises money for the Rising Star Student Excellence Fund, which supports Mississippi students pursuing sales and marketing careers through applications and donations now open online.
